Higg MSI Contributor

1. What is the Higg MSI Contributor?

The MSI Contributor is the process that enables anyone to submit materials production data to the Higg Materials Sustainability Index (Higg MSI). Data that is submitted is assessed by Cascale and Worldly, and the life cycle impact assessment (LCIA) results are then published to the Higg MSI where they become available to all users.

2. Why should I submit data to the HIgg MSI Contributor?

By submitting data to the Higg MSI through the MSI Contributor, you contribute to the development of a common and consistent language about materials sustainability for the apparel, footwear, and home textile industries. You will be able to differentiate your materials from your competitors’ and deepen environmental understanding within the industry. Finally, you will be able to use this information to make more sustainable decisions in your business.

3. How do I start a data submission?

To start your MSI Contributor submission, create an account on Jira Service Management  (please note that this is a separate platform than Worldly.io / Higg Index and requires a different log-in). Make sure your account notifications are turned on so you can receive progress updates

Before starting a submission, please read the full guidance outlined in the following document:

Higg MSI Contributor Guidance

We also recommend that you familiarize yourself with the Higg MSI Methodology available here.

4. How do I get help?

Many of your questions may be answered by the Higg MSI Contributor Guidance document.

If you still need help, reach out to Cascale at product@cascale.org.
